Originally from Stellarton, Nova Scotia, Emilly moved to Ontario while attending Ridley College, where she played on the Prep girls’ hockey team. She went on to complete a Bachelor of Kinesiology (Honours) with First Class Standing at Brock University, where she was also a member of the varsity softball team. During her time at Brock, Emilly was actively involved in the Brock Sports Medicine Program, serving as a BSM Student for the Women’s Basketball team, and contributed to both the Power Cord (now BFIT) and SNAP programs. Her passion for athlete development brought her back to Ridley, where she coached U14 hockey and softball, and worked as a student trainer for the Prep girls’ hockey team. The mentorship and collaboration she experienced with health professionals during this time inspired her to pursue further education in the healthcare field.

Emilly earned her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree and a Master of Science in Anatomy from D’Youville University, where her capstone research focused on the atlanto-occipital and atlanto-axial joints. In March 2024, she was selected to attend the Association of Chiropractic Colleges Research Agenda Conference (ACC-RAC) in San Diego. In her final academic term, she simultaneously completed the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program at McMaster University.
Emilly is a strong advocate for lifelong learning and is dedicated to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care by staying current with the latest research. Outside of her academic and clinical commitments, she enjoys an active lifestyle filled with travel, working out, hiking, pickleball, and hot yoga.
